St. George's Episcopal School - where learning is fun!

School Facilities

Renovated in 2002, the school's five classrooms are spacious, full of light, and built around the unique needs of our students.

The classrooms are designed for active and imaginative play.  Centers are carefully constructed and placed around the room including:  home center, art center, writing center, science center, book/listening center, blocks/building center, and music center.  The furniture consists of child-sized tables and chairs, with soft, cozy spots to accomodate quiet times and open floor space for active times and group activities.  Each child has a cubby for his or her belongings.

St. George's is blessed with a large and lush playground containing many interesting features.  This playground includes a porch attached to the toddler rooms that allow for outside eating, picnic tables for the older classes to use, a bike track, a sandbox under a large oak tree, two large gardening boxes, swings, a tetrahedron climber, two playscapes with slides, and a new outdoor bathroom/storage facility that was constructed in the summer of 2010.  It is a wonderful space, perfect for preschoolers to run, dig, clumb, garden, snack, explore, play, and enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer.  Our playground is loved by all.
