Accreditation

St. George's is accredited by the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools.

The National Association of Independent Schools has recognized the evaluation and accreditation programs of SAES since June, 1993.

The Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools (SAES) is a member in good standing of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Commission on Accreditation.  It has voluntarily agreed to abide by the Commission’s Criteria for Effective Independent School Accreditation Practices and to submit to a thorough review and evaluation of its accreditation standards, criteria, and procedures. SAES is recognized by three state agencies and by eleven Episcopal dioceses within the six states served by the association.

Episcopal schools are characterized by their:

  • commitment to the centrality of excellence in teaching and of quality in learning,
  • service to their own community and to their broader communities as well,
  • belief in the values of respect and responsibility within the context of the Episcopal Church,
  • belief in leadership and stewardship for service in the world, and
  • inclusiveness and diversity that are foundational for educational excellence.

State Licensing

St. George's is licensed through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

We are inspected on an annual basis. For the past four years we have passed our inspections with no violations.
