St. George's Episcopal School - where learning is fun!

Admissions and Application

St. George's Episcopal School strongly values our ethnic diversity. St. George's Episcopal School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin.

The school offers classes for children ranging from 18 months to pre-K (4- to 5-year-olds).

Application Process

All parents or guardians must submit a completed application, as well as a copy of student's birth certificate, physician statement, immunization record, and social security card. The application form may be obtained by visiting the school in person or by calling the school office at (512) 452-6063.

In determining whether a student will be admitted to St. George's Episcopal School, the school will consider a student's age, potential for positive participation and conduct, and the expressed commitment of the student's family to support the mission, policies, practices, and curricular goals of St. George's.

For applications received by March 15 of the previous school year, priority will be given in the following order:

  1. Currently enrolled student.
  2. Parishioners at St. George's Church.
  3. Siblings of currently enrolled students.
  4. Siblings or children of formerly enrolled students.

Additional consideration will be given to children of administration, faculty, and staff of St. George's School and Church.

After March 15, all other applicants will be considered by date of application. If no space is available in your child's age group, he or she will be placed on a waiting list for that class.

New Students

All new students must complete an application before they will be considered for admission to St. George's School. The application form may be obtained by visiting the school in person or by calling the school office at (512) 452-6063.

Upon acceptance, the prospective student's parents will be notified of admission. At that time a registration fee of $150.00 is required to secure the student's spot in the school. If the parent or guardian does not respond within five (5) working days, the prospective student's enrollment may be cancelled.

Currently Enrolled Students

All currently enrolled students returning to St. George's School must apply for renewal of admission annually. Current students will be given priority in enrollment only during the dates designated for protected re-registration. St. George's School will not process re-application of students who have a past due balance of tuition.

Parents of currently enrolled students will receive a letter on March 1 which will include a renewal form for the next academic year. This form must be completed and returned by March 15 (the designated protected re-registration period). All class assignments are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. An annual $50.00 registration fee is due at the time of re-admission.

Returning students are subject to the same qualifications for admission as new applicants in terms of demonstrated positive participation, deportment, and work habits, and overall positive relationship between school, child, and parent(s), or guardian(s).

We realize that St. George's Episcopal School may not always be the best place for a particular child. Therefore, if the child's needs cannot be met here, or if he or she may affect other children in negative ways, we reserve the right to ask the parent to find a more appropriate school for the child.
