St. George's Episcopal School - where learning is fun!

Class Placement

At St. George's Episcopal School, children are always encouraged to develop at their own rate within their age-appropriate classroom setting. As a general rule, classes are formed at the beginning of each school year, with students advancing together as a class group.

Each child will be evaluated for classroom placement at the time of admission. The Director will make specific class assignments based on the student's age, as well as their academic, social, and emotional development. The Director's determination of classroom assignments will include the considerations of parents, peers, and/or teachers.

Classroom assignments of each child will be reviewed periodically. The Director will provide an explanation in writing at the request of parents or guardians for any changes made.

The Director will consider recommendations for a change in class placement, but is not bound in any way to approve the recommendation if it is not in the best interest of both the student and St. George's School.
