Music and Art
At. St. George's School, we believe that enrichment in the arts benefits the aesthetic and spiritual growth of children of all ages.
We have weekly music, art, and dance classes. The children are lead in art projects, songs, rhythm, and dance. Our children listen to music and learn songs from a variety of cultures.
Individual expression through artwork is also encouraged as a regular part of our daily routine. Fun, age-appropriate art projects help the children develop their fine motor skills through cutting, painting, and pasting while creating their own works of art. Many of our art projects are used in our monthly outreach program. They are given to organizations around Austin such as Christopher House (Hospice patients), St. George's Court (an assisted living program), and nursing homes. The joy they bring is returned to the students through thank you notes and emails.
